How Can I Get Motivated to Exercise?
Susan,
I just can’t get motivated to exercise. I know I need to do something for myself, but I don’t know what. How do I get started?
Karen
Dear Karen,
Motivation is the key. Once you get into a routine, you will find that sticking to it becomes easier. For most of us divorce pending, or not, an exercise program takes some discipline.
Start with taking short walks either around your neighborhood or a track at a nearby school. Set aside a specific time each day and stick to it. You will start to feel better physically and the exercise will recharge your emotionally.
Everything should be done in baby steps so give it a try!
